One of the most talked-about subjects in our Facebook group is restaurants. MIC’s Economic Development Committee decided to visit Mableton restaurants periodically, and provide some basic information about them — or in other words, “shine a spotlight” on the restaurants in our community. MIC does not endorse the restaurants; the Spotlight exists simply to introduce Mabletonians to restaurants in Mableton.

Ambience: Chic, clean lines, with décor of black/white/red/gray; subtle and pleasant lighting. Flatware is very nice angular white ceramic, fitting with the general décor; black cloth napkins (another nice touch). Appears to be a full bar in the future; per staff at visit, no liquor license yet but is in process. Piped-in music a very pleasant mix, not overly loud. Soft family touch: one half-wall posts colored-by-kids’ paper placements.
Wifi: yes
Parking: plentiful
Experience: Reservations not required, but available online from website or phone. Everything very fresh and perfectly cooked – Chicken (blackened) & Waffles, and Blackened Tilapia Burger with Mac & Cheese (all delicious). The sandwich’s plating included tiny edible flowers decorating the plate rim, a nice touch. Service was very friendly, attentive, and informative. Lots of “blackened” dishes on the menu; the blackening rub is not too hot, and full of flavor layers. So nice to have a non-chain, local, neighborhood restaurant!
