The Friends of the Mable House proudly present their annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 11am to 4pm. Admission is free and there is plenty of free parking. The Mable House is located at 5239 Floyd Road, Mableton.
There will be storytellers, children’s crafts, a petting farm, old time games, Mother Goose, historic house tours with live spinning, quilting and sewing demonstrations, basket weaving, a blacksmith, food and so much more! The South Cobb Lions Club will be offering hayrides and selling BBQ and there will be special musical performances by Flatpickin’ Inc. as well as Pebblebrook High School’s Gospel Choir, Soulful Praise. This is a community event sponsored and hosted by the Friends of the Mable House in partnership with Cobb County Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs.
The historic Mable House was built by Scottish immigrant Robert Mable in 1843 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Read more here.
